Gabion boxes are formed from panels of double twisted mesh which are framed by thicker selvedge wires. End panels and diaphragms are normally at 1 meter centres. The double twist weaving of the mesh prevents unravelling. The gabion units are supplied with appropriate lacing wire for assembly and erection.
